Coming straight from our archives, here is the prototype in hand-painted resin of the Goldorak statue produced in 2000 by Lulu-Berlu (which you can see here). This statue was, at the time of its release, one of the first official product from UFO Robo Grendizer / Goldrake of the modern era, and a 100% French production.
This is the first prototype, which was later modified, and differs from the final version on several points: the sculpture of the head is different. The torso does not have sculpted on Shoulder-hackens. The torso and the legs and the head are one and the same integral piece. The fists are drilled to accommodate the Double Hacken axe, that were removed on the final version. The blades of the Double Hacken are in painted resin, and the handle is a metal rod.

There are only four copies of this prototype existing, including this one, which makes it an exceptional piece of history for any experienced collector of the "horned giant".
