This one has been a long time coming!
Barbarossa Customs Creations is presenting a meticulously recreated and uniquely modified Laser Power He-Man action figure!
This figure is fully hand-cast, hand-painted and hand-assembled.
The figure itself is made from quality casting resin (liquid plastic) whose formulation mimics the look and feel of the vintage figures and accessories. What's more, the plastic is dyed with colorants so the colors you see run all the way through. Further, as is also a standard with their work, Barbarossa Art made a point of "piecing-out" as much of the figure as possible so that painting is limited to details only - thus ensuring maximum durability and resilience. In this instance, Laser Power He-Man (the figure) is actually assembled from 15 separate cast parts:
Head, Arms, Legs = Cast in LP He-Man "Flesh" Color
Trunks, Boots = Cast in LP He-man "Teal" Color
Belt, Gloves = Cast with a special metallic finish to give them an almost exact "Silver" appearance as the original.
Inner Arm-Plug Bolt = Cast in tough plastic
Yes, even the belt is cast separately and is permanently attached to the trunks!
The only painted details are the hair and eyes and the silver "H" and band on the arm guard. All painted with high quality acrylics and finished with an acrylic sealant.
Like the vintage original he retains his articulation at the neck, waist, shoulders as well as at the thighs. Unlike the original however, his legs are attached with "bands" through a newly-engineered set of trunks. These trunks are adorned with a newly-designed belt which omits the "M" found on the original European version (commonly taken to stand for, "Musclor") and like the MOTU Classics version, features a plain belt buckle.
As you'll have also noticed, what sets this particular Laser Power He-Man apart is a customizing first: he is mounted and sealed on a newly designed USA English Cardback! Finally, a Laser Power He-Man which fits right in with the original vintage collection! Just as we should have gotten back in the 1980s but sadly, missed out on.
The card and bubble are both also hand-made. The bubble is made from high quality clear plastic and is NOT flimsy. The card face is printed on semi-gloss gallery-quality brand-name photo paper and the card back is printed on high quality matte paper; the two are joined together to create a card which fits in with the vintage line. The bubble is permanently mounted to the card.
The "laser power" action works thanks to a retrofitted power pack (there's a battery pack concealed inside of the backpack with a button cell battery and switch). This allows for the light to function and stay on for display without compromising the look of the accessory).
This is a hand-crafted art piece for the adult collector only; not a toy for children.
