This store display from 1986 was used for a contest held by Mattel for the Masters of the Universe Collector Club in France. This huge and fragile Castle Grayskull was lent by Mattel France to participating retailers, and was not sold to the general public.
A french exclusive, really rare item. It is estimated that only a hundred units were produced back then. Because of their size and the space needed to store it (it is one solid piece of plastic that cannot be disassembled), many store displays were most likely destroyed, or thrown away by retailers once they did not have use for it anymore. How many did survive?...
